it really covers up your blemishes. But the shades are a little hard to match with my skin color and it smells kind of funky. It also is hard to blend because it is kind of thick and sticky.
I am not thrilled with circle/Delete. It does go on really well. I am 52 and all this does is crease up and accuntuate the wrinkles under my eyes. I did apply loose powder and foundation after applying Circle/Delete and it just made it worse.
Have used dozens of concealers (I'm old!), but I have to say this is the best concealer to date! If it can take away darkness and restore life to my undereye shadows and make me look bright and perky it will work wonders on the younger ladies! They won't be disappointed!
Mine contained vitamin K (phytonadione), which is mentioned in “description” but not listed in “ingredients” (probably was reformulated at some point). Having suffered from severe phytonadione allergy in the past, I was skeptical, but decided to try it anyway, because I absolutely loved its texture and conditioning composition. After a month of cautious testing, I courageously incorporated it in my make-up routine with absolutely no signs of irritation! This suggests that it's carefully formulated, with highly refined ingredients, free from contaminants! OK, price tag forgiven… I only apply the tiniest bit, which invisibly and effortlessly blends with my skin! No rubbing, no layering, no powder! The area around my eyes appears brighter, but even a closer look will not detect any traces of concealer! The dual pack is a great idea, but I found it difficult to select the right duo for my medium/neutral complexion: #1 is too yellow, the lighter of #2 is too light and the darker of #3 is too dark! So I got #2 and use mostly the dark half, while the light serves as highlighter/eye shadow. If only there were refills for each shade separately… And a smaller, more portable pack! I’m sure this one will expire long before I use it up, unless I try it as a foundation to avoid such a waste! Finally, a little SPF added to Circle\Delete would make it just too good to be real!
I am really smell sensitive and there is no offensive smell. I'm really skin sensitive and this does not irritate my skin at all. This is great for under eye and lid primer if you use sparingly and don't over-apply. This is also effective for concealing blemishes if you use a stippling technique layering with only a tiny amount at a time.
I am 57 and this is by far the very best concealer I have ever used. It restores life to my undereye shadows and makes me look bright. Those younger than me will not be disappointed at all!
just dab it on lightly with your pinky, and right after moisturizing....it is awesome! I found that if I use too much, it will cause creases...but if I use the "less is more" adage, as you should with all makeup, it works wonders!!
I tried the Circle Delete (in Yellow), and found it difficult to use: it had a tackiness/stickiness, and the colors did not blend into my skin at all. (I have light/medium olive Asian skin). The CircleDelete was clearly visible under my Jane Iredale pressed powder (Golden Glow). It required me to use my fingers and an additional makeup brush which was messy. It made my skin oily and break out. Additionally, when I used it on the tender skin under my eye, the tacky/sticky consistency of the concealer did not allow it to blend in. But what was most frustrating was that, since I wear glasses, there was a visible yellow line of concealer where the glasses rested on my face. If you are looking for a Jane Iredale concealer, try their ZapHide. I LOVE the ZapHide (in medium). It is super easy to use, not messy at all, creamy, and blends in perfectly!
This is a great concealer for the under eye area. I have tried countless others in my life, which were always cakey and dried out my under eye area. This one is moist, creamy, and blends well. I have olive tones in my skin and the Circle/Delete 1 is great - I can blend the two colors or just use one or the other. I'm psyched to have finally found a good concealer that is not full of chemicals and toxins. Thanks Jane Iredale, you rock!
Circle Delete #2 is absolutely amazing! I find there is NO odor at all, and it's like silk on my finger and applies to my undereye area like silk, as well! And immediately - the entire eye area is brightened and it just makes your eyes sparkle!!! Perhaps the reviewer with the thick and sticky and off-odor Circle Delete purchased theirs from someone who had out of date merchandise? I would certainly return it immediately, as I think this is the best concealer I've ever used (and I've pruchased and tossed dozens!!!) I have dark blonde hair with hi-lites, Spring coloring, fair skin, wear Warm Silk pressed mineral foundation, and I have found my skin has done nothing but improve with every day that I use JI's products! Seriously - and I was the 50 something who still had more than 'occasional' break outs....NoNE since I started using Jane Iredale! LOVE THEM!!!
I will never use anything else! It covers up my dark circles, makes me look (and feel) awake and young :)
The gold is great at concealing my under eye dark areas but I have no use for the brown as it is far too dark for my skin tone. Wish you sold the colours individually.
I just got my starter kit "Porcelain" a few days ago, and wasn't real thrilled with the results I was getting from Circle/Delete. The colors were fine for me (I'm a very light skinned Winter - Ivory base is a perfect match). But I was having trouble dealing with both my dark blue under eye circles AND the puffiness - in spite of following the application tips for concealing both. Also, the more I tried to work with the concealer (holding my finger on the area to melt it in, and then trying to rub it in) - the more chalky and caked up the product got, separating actually into bits and pieces - even using very minimal product. The first time I thought maybe I hadn't moisturized my under eye area enough, but it still happened later after good moisturizing. I finally saw the light of day! :D I found that using the peach (darker) concealer for the entire under eye area (instead of trying to do the darker color in the middle and the lighter on the edges, as suggested)worked the very best. It perfectly covers the dark circles, blends in seamlessly and hides the puffiness. Best of all, I found the KEY (for me) to applying this product so that it blends in smoothly and looks smooth and natural. It is very gently stippling with my finger, and not trying to use the brush. I take a very small amount of concealer (using the tip of my pinky finger just gently touched to the surface of the compact) and stipple it across the under eye area, blending it in by continuing a gentle stippling motion (not rubbing!); repeating as necessary for the right amount of coverage. Finishing with a spritz of the balancing spray just makes it all look wonderful. :)
I love this concealer! It's perfect ..my only complaint is that they do not sell the darker half separately since I go thru it so fast. Like someone else said ...the light is too light but the other half is great, just too small of a portion so it gets expensive.
My daughter started using Jane Iredale makeup after we visited the plastic surgery office for scar revisions. We were awaiting the insurance approval and asked what she could do in the meantime. They gave her a makeover with the JI products. Needless to say we never went back for the revision and having been using it every since. You have made my daughter have confidence again. The she got me using it and I love my circle delete #2. The peach color conceals my under eye circles and I dont have to wear any other makeup over it. I too, agree with other customers that I wish you would sell the colors seperately because I do not use the lighter one. I feel I am throwing away my money for just half a container. Great product though!
i used this for a year then i opted for the other one with many more choices i cant think of the name..i will still use this though...its good for me and my deeply sunken eyes
People at the Spa that I purchase from rave about this product. Well, this seems to settle into fine lines under my eyes making the concealer look obvious. It does cover my dark circles, but I would rather have the dark circles than for people to be able to see small colored in lines.
First let me say that I was hesitant to order this concealer, one because it was named "Yellow". That didn't appeal to me at all. Two because I wasn't sure I wanted or needed the darker color. However, I have been pleased with every new JI product I've tried so on faith I tried it. I love that it's in a little pot so you can control how much you use and use it all up! It covers beautifully and seems to disappear on the skin. The colors work well on my fair skin and are not heavy yet the coverage is excellent.
I have melasma and I have tried many products and this by far is the best product I have ever used.
Is there any way we could see a video for the proper application of Circle/Delete, specifically, a video that addresses concealing dark circles? I think that would clarify a lot of the confusion as to the dual colors, consistency, and application of the product . . . well it would for me at least.
This concealer is really good at covering, especially on blemishes. I do agree with other reviews that it is a bit thick, so that does make it hard to apply well enough. Though with the instructions it does help to blend them or use the concealer on the back of one's hand to warm it up before applying. It does help make the product softer.
Just okay. This is the only JI that I'm not crazy about. Perhaps it's just the wrong color. It's "all right" as a concealer to cover up little acne spots and the like, but it doesn't look right under the eye. I also have the "Disappear" concealer and prefer that one for overall cover-ups.
I switched from Bobbi Brown corrector to this, and I'm never going back. It's just the right consistency for me--not too sheer but not too heavy. I mix the two colors (as the instructions recommend) and get a very natural look.
On my third container of Circle/Delete #1 although I think there are better concealers to cover up acne, scaring or hyper-pigmentation such as the Disappear Concealer. This once is made for the delicate eye area, it brightens and moisturizes perfectly. Don't use a large amount or it will crease. What I love about all of Jane's products is that a very little amount will go a long way. They last a long time and they are so good for your skin!
I used to used the "Disappear" which also worked well, but I mostly just need it for dark circles, so when I saw this I thought I'd give it a try. I love the way it covers my dark circles while still feeling weightless. I like mixing the light and dark as well.
Circle delete #2) I did my research and learned how to use this properly before i wrote my review. I honestly love this. I take a small amount and apply it to my under eyes and warm it up with my finger. Don't rub, just pat. Once it's blended in enough set it with just a tiny bit of powder. (I use pure pressed base). I have significant dark circles and this covers mine. I noticed the darker shade actually covers the best on me. The lighter side can be mixed for custom shade or used as a no shimmer highlighter. I absolutely stand by this and know it can work for anyone..
