It seems that many of us loved this lipstick product(I too was a loyal "Susan" user) and the more reviews I read, the more it seems that many of the most purchased and loved colors are being discontinued. It would be in this company's best interest to harness this "crowd wisdom" and reconsider what is being discontinued and possibly reintroduce those colors most beloved.
I used to use Susan, which I loved, from their line that they just discontinued. So, as a nice gesture, they sent me Naomi, thinking that I would like this to replace Susan. It was so ugly. It had frost, which I hate, and it looked copper on my lips, which does not work at all on me. I am bummed about their discontinuing my most favorite lipstick ever.
The colour range is gorgeous and offers much choice for all year round. The new formula is moisture-packed, comfortable and long lasting. If your lip brush is not to hand, PureMoist can be applied very quickly with success due to its slimmer shape. Super formula!!
Rikki lipstick is fast becoming one of my favorites! I use it alone and also sometimes w Snowberry gloss over it. It stays on really well and is very moisturizing. The shape of the lipstick is good because you don't have to roll it up very far to apply, therefore it doesn't break easily. Love it!!
I have been purchasing all of my makeup including your lipsticks, for years. I went to find a replacement for Brett since it has been discontinued. The new formulation is awful ! It is very dry compared to the old version. It now cakes when I wear it. You also get less and it costs the same. I will look elsewhere for my lipstick. So sad and disappointed !
This lipstick used to be my go to 5-star option. However, whenever I find my favorite color, JI discontinues it shortly thereafter. First it was Babe. I loved it for the single tube I had of it and could not get any more after that tube was gone. Now it is Halle, which I see in the Last Hurrah section. These new colors really don't look like anything to write home about and I'm really gunshy about trying any of them, since as soon as I find one I like, odds are it will be discontinued too. And it looks like the formula is now changed too, which makes me even less likely to invest.
I love the new lipstick formulas. They wear so well and moisturize my lips. Favorite shades include Renee, Lauren, Sharon, and Margi.
The new lipstick format is a poor substitute for the quality of the original format. Where are Brett, Kirsten, Carrie? These last and are true colors whereas the new format may be moist and is too sheer for any color to last.
Bought "Melody" shade from one of your retailers...so disappointed. Like the color, but not 'moist'.
Why did you change your formula and format of this product??? This used to be my holy grail LIPSTICK. Now it is not even lipstick at all. The texture has totally changed and even the smell is different. The color (Renee) is not even the exact same as it was. I hate the new skinny style applicator too. I want my lipstick back!
I love Jane Iredale cosmetics but I always have difficulty evaluating lip colors on the website. I have purchased many lip colors, only to find that the color in reality differed from my perception of it on the website. Photos of models wearing each color, preferably on different complexions, would be so helpful! Less effective, but still helpful, would include with the color name a link to comments suggesting the skin tones that are most compatible with the selected shade.
