PureLash™ Mascara Agate Brown
Ingredients: Water, Algae Extract, Carnauba Wax, Glycerin, PVP, Glyceryl Stearate, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Stearic Acid, Panthenol, Vanilla Tahitensis Fruit Extract, Sweet Almond Seed Extract, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Bisabolol, Phospholipids. May Contain: Iron Oxides.

This mild, water resistant formula was our first mascara developed expressly for sensitive eyes.
- Designed to nourish and color lashes naturally
- Resistant to smearing and flaking
- Formulated with a proprietary blend of seaweed lipids and panthenol to keep the formula moist and condition lashes
- Conditioning and protecting to reduce splitting and breaking
- Free of lacquers, shellac and petroleum based ingredients
- Great for contact lens wearers
- Apply a layer of our PureLash Extender and Conditioner first. You’ll be amazed how it thickens your lashes. It also means that you’ll use less mascara. Allow to dry until tacky and then apply your favorite formula of mascara.
- Be sure to rock the mascara wand at the base of your lashes first. This is where you want the most product, then brush out to the tips.
- If you are going to layer mascara, don’t wait for each application to dry. This is what makes lashes stick together.
- Don’t pump brushes. This will force air into the tube and help to dry out the product. Simply twist the brush in the tube to pick up more product.
- Brown or grey can look softer around the eyes than black.
- Too much mascara can be aging.
Bummer
I was so eager to try JI cosmetics. Since mascara was all that I was out of at the time, that's all I ordered to try JI out. I've had a hard time finding a natural/safe mascara that works AND is priced well. I was so disappointed that this one was Clump City(!)--almost like it was too old--and then, possibly because of this, it didn't seem to last. Not that I cared as I was eager to move on. I could possibly give it a second star for staying power, but, really that just made it super hard to take off. Because of how thick and clumpy it went on, my lashes stuck and the product flaked off as the day wore on. This has not made me give up on the JI product line, per se, but the mascara is out for sure. Rats.
Adore this
I love this mascara. I've tried everything natural on the market when it comes to mascara and this is by far the best - and it happens to be $13.00 less than a competitor's brand which I don't like as much!
great mascara
I love this mascara. I got it in the agate brown, which is a good color for my fair complexion. I am so happy to have finally found a non-toxic mascara that doesn't clump, isn't messy or smudgy, and that - most importantly - does not cause my eyelashes to uncurl when i apply it after curling them. I have tried other safe mascaras and found them to be very messy when applying and easily smudged later, plus they uncurled my eyelashes. I feel like I have gotten my eyelashes back. thank you!
Absolutely the best!
This is the best mascara I've ever used. It conditions as well as colors and lengthens. I had to make a change from my former mascara as it was being discontinued and was heartbroken. Well my heart has healed and my lashes are beautiful!
Hoped for better!
Initially, I was very excited about this mascara. It's affordable, cruelty free, and has everything I've been looking for in terms of healthy alternative ingredients. The problem that I've found with it is the application. The mascara does not easily transfer from the bristles to my lashes...it takes several (and I mean SEVERAL) swipes/coats to achieve a casual look, and even when I'm finished I've had to apply so much pressure to get the mascara on that it's gotten all over my eyelids. I do appreciate that it doesn't smudge/smear and dries quickly, however, the application problem was enough for me to buy a different brand and be sad that I wasted my money and cannot return this product (got it from a store that carries J.Iredale, not the site).
Dry
I ordered this mascara and liked it for the first 2-3 applications. However, it is very dry and after that it was unusable and would not transfer on to my eyelashes without 5-8 applications. Even adding water to the brush to thin it out wouldn't help. The product was basically useless after the first few applications.
Love It!
I've finally found a mascara that does not clump - both on the brush & on your lashes. Also being a contact lens wearer I am pretty sensitive to a lot of mascara - have previously purchased "expensive name brand" mascara only to find I couldn't even open my eyes they were watering so much! This is definately the brand I will be using for many years! Thank you - and thanks for the excellent service and packaging too - great job!!!
