PureLash™ Lengthening Mascara Jet Black

- Designed to make lashes look longer naturally
- Formulated with: panthenol to condition lashes, a proprietary blend of seaweed lipids and wheat protein to condition and curl lashes and triple‐length cellulose fibers to add extra length and thickness
- Conditioning and protecting to reduce splitting and breaking
- Free of lacquers, shellac and petroleum‐based ingredients
- Apply a layer of our PureLash Extender and Conditioner first. You’ll be amazed how it thickens your lashes. It also means that you’ll use less mascara. Allow to dry until tacky and then apply your favorite formula of mascara.
- Be sure to rock the mascara wand at the base of your lashes first. This is where you want the most product, then brush out to the tips.
- If you are going to layer mascara, don’t wait for each application to dry. This is what makes lashes stick together.
- Don’t pump brushes. This will force air into the tube and help to dry out the product. Simply twist the brush in the tube to pick up more product.
- Brown or grey can look softer around the eyes than black.
- Too much mascara can be aging.

Outstanding Mascara...
I was so excited to see that Jane Iredale sells mascara in addition to all of their other fabulous products. Over the last year, my eyes have become sensitive to the other brands of mascara so I thought I would try Jane Iredale's mascara. Jane iredale Purelash Lengthening Mascara goes on wonderful with no clumps and really extends the eyelashes. It stays on all day and it is so easy to wash off! I have received so many compliments on my eyes since I started wearing this mascara! I am so excited to try other colors! Thank you Jane Iredale for all of your wondeful products!
No Eye Burn!
I ran out of my Jane Iredale mascara so I picked up a different "natural" brand at the local natural store. I noticed my eyes burning a little after putting on my makeup one morning, thinking it was allergies I just went along with the day. Later, while driving, something sentimental affected me and I shed a tear. All of a sudden my eyes were burning like crazy ... I could hardly keep them open to drive as I quickly wiped all mascara off my eyes. It was the other "natural" mascara!!!! I've never experienced this with Jane Iredale mascara. Not only does it lengthen and go on smoothly and look good, but it doesn't burn my eyes!!! Who knew that would be criteria for selecting mascara?? I'm now completely devoted to Jane Iredale mascara.
Great Mascara!
This mascara is great -- it adds length and definition, and looks very natural. I will definitely purchase it again.
Lovely on my eyes
This is the most wonderful mascara--and it's SAFE to wear--no ugly ingredients to worry about. I like the brown/black which is the perfect shade for both beautiful eyes and appropriate color that is not to heavy or dark against my fair skin. It glides on easily and lasts through a round of golf on a hot day--even perspiration does not destroy it, and it isn't waterproof!
No clumps, great color
I love this mascara, however it did flake off later on in the day.

Best Mascara EVER!
This is such a great product, doesn't give you raccoon eyes, which I get from every other product I have tried, due to long lashes and the habit of smiling all the time. :):) The brown/black is a wonderful color, softer than jet black, for days when you don't want to be dramatic - perfect for the workplace.
OK mascara
This mascara is no better than most and worse than a lot! I found it to be messy and clumpy. I sure didn't expect that from a Jane I. product!

This was my first order from Jane Iredale and was excited to find a mascara without all the chemicals that I am trying to avoid. Unfortunately this product just didn't meet my expectations. I had troubles with clumping, my ;ashes certainly didn't look any fuller or longer and the mascara flaked during the day. Not sure where I will order next. I might try Color Carmel instead.
Flakes off
I only use mascara on my upper lashes but by the end of the day, some of it has settled in a fine powder underneath my under eye lashes. It makes my under eye circles look even darker. Then it doesn't come off well, so it seems there is always some under my eyes.
Terrible
This was the first time in my life that I bought an organic mascara. I read that it was hypoallergenic and I believed it. The same day that I applied the mascara, my eylids swelled up, turned red, and I could not see clearly. Before that I used a mascara especially designed for those who wear contact lenses, and everything was fine. I thought it was coincidence that my eyes had such a reaction. Then I applied my old mascara to one eye, and Jane Iredale mascara to the other. Only the Jane Iredale mascara gave me an allergic reaction. I am very dissatisfied that I wasted my money on this mascara. It is definitely not worth the money.
Navy color appears black
I bought this mascara yesterday, and I am overall a bit disappointed. It is no where near navy-blue at all, not even a hint at it, it just looks blackish or grey, and doesn't appear to add any length. I have dark blonde hair and dark eyelashes, but blue eyes. That said, it does fix and shape my lashes, and having gone out in slightly rainy weather, it stays on as well.
Best Mascara Ever
I have short lashes and this makes me look like a movie star. It doesn't irritate my sensitive skin. And, it smells good.
Too Soft
I felt like I had to keep putting more and more and more on to even see it on my eyelashes. It felt "too soft" and didn't seem like there was even product on my eyes. I liked the color but not the actual formula.
The quest has ended!
I've finally found the mascara I've been searching for. It goes on smoothly with no clumps and saturates my lashes with deep color. To top it off, it doesn't smudge or flake off during the day and has no chemicals. What more could I ask for? FYI-this is the first review I've ever felt compelled to write.
