A light-reflecting, mineral foundation in a special liquid formulation. The beads are actually liposomes entrapping liposomes.
This foundation pumps out nicely almost with air injected and is such a beautiful light texture - not at all heavy. A little goes a long way. It leaves my skin looking smooth and natural and I use a light touch of the Pure Pressed minerals with the Handi brush to finish out the look - try this, you will like the look. The Natural is a mix with beads of varying colors - the Bisque is lighter and all one color beads. I have both and use a squeeze of each and mix. Lovely!
I have looked for years for a foundation that actually covers but looks fresh, clean and natural. This foundation fits the bill. If you don't like to look "made-up" this is the product for you. I rarely touch up throughout the day and sometimes do not even add powder for a lighter look.
At last - mineral make up that has such a beautiful light texture and keeps my skin soft all day. Use just a little - it will last a long time. I use the Handi brush to apply. Very lovely!
I did not think anything could be the ease, coverage or feel of the pressed powder foundation but I think this may be my new favorite. I changed because my skin was becoming dry and looking powdery I could have used the setting spay but thought I would give this a try. It is light, natural, blendable and best part of all buildable for my rosecea on my cheeks and nose area. I look fresh all day and night without worry. I almost hated taking it off last night it still looked so good.
I've used Jane's liquid makeup now for about a year, and I am so happy that it helps my acne-prone skin. Other liquid foundations in stores tend to break me out, so I had to stay with Jane. You simply must smooth it a little on the back of your other hand before applying directly to the face. It will be much smoother and easier. A little goes a long way even though it really isn't about covering all your flaws. Put this great stuff on first and then go over your face with my favorite Jane Iredale product, Disappear (which is almost like a medicine to zap zits), and then powder sparingly with Amazing Base. It really makes you look like one smooth chickadee!
I've been using this product for 6 years now and I love that it's actually good for your skin! It's rated as one of the safest foundations by the Skin Deep Cosmetic Database. I recently had to switch shades and had a bit of trouble at first trying to find my perfect color, but with the help of one of the personal shoppers I was able to successfully do a color match over the phone. They have a color match guarantee, so you can't go wrong! Also, I wear the Pressed Powder over the Liquid Minerals and it looks amazing!!
Thank you, Jane! You have made this total product junkie a happy and loyal customer, which is saying a lot for me. I was just about to return this yesterday after not getting similar effects to the Jane PurePressed Base that I love so much and was beginning to regret switching. I wanted to try the liquid version in order to get a slightly dewier and glowy look, but instead I was getting an oilier and greasy look. Needless to say I have oily skin, but only on my t-zone, and I am extremely prone to hormonal acne. Then finally I decided to give it one more shot today, but this time I didn't apply any foundation to my t-zone--I simply used Absence and a setting powder in this oily area. And, voila! My face has looked flawless all day. In order to achieve beautiful results I think it's crucial to use a good primer and setting powder (I recommend the Laura Mercier line--I have found that setting with PurePressed Base is just too much coverage and looks cakey). Otherwise you are likely going to be splotchy. But combined with other products this will give you gorgeous and healthy-looking skin, which is a godsend for women like me who were not naturally born with it. After a little trial and error, 5 stars. :)
I'm not sure how such a light-weight foundation provides such awesome coverage. Perfect for evening out skin tone. I love this product and use it every day - not sure how I lived without it. Approaching 40, I need make-up with that forgives some of my flaws -- this product not only forgives them, but helps conceal them. LOVE IT.
it goes on smoothly & with just the right amount of coverage- not heavy or cakey. I love how it stays fresh looking all day too.
I did not have high hopes because I have never bought a foundation that I actually love, just tolerated. This stuff is totally different. I have freckles, and a reddish skin tone and this stuff covers it all. It feels awesome when you put it on, and then feels like you have nothing on at all. I have received compliments on my "skin", not my makeup! And this stuff stays on all day! Very good if you have oily skin too. You look dewy, not oily! Love it!
This is the most wonderful foundation I have ever used! I have "mature" skin, but this foundation takes away the years!
Love this liquid. It comes out like a mousse & spreads easily. You may notice some tiny granular-looking bits at first, but they will blend in & disappear as you smooth the foundation with the Blending Brush, your fingers, or the Flocked Sponge. I mix one squirt of Warm Sienna & 1 or 2 (depending on level of coverage i want) of Light Beige. My skin has a bit of underlying ruddiness, so the Warm Sienna blocks that. Even though my complexion is more peachy than cool, the Light Beige works well for me. If you've used Shaklee Minerelles in the past, & wore Beige as i did, JI's Light Beige will probably work for you, too :)
I recently got this product and I must say I love it! It is completely oil free, gives the skin an amazing texture and works wonders with the Pure Pressed base.
I went to salon on newbury and tried it today, and it doesn't feel like I'm wearing makeup at all! Coverage was so-so through...I guess that's what I get for "sheer". Anyway you need to top it with powder for some spf... My only problem was it looked very cakey/powdery when artist applied powder (Golden glow)...and I didn't care for that... It made it look like I was wearing a lot of makeup. Also I kinda have very oily skin and after 1~2 hr I could feel the oil mixing with foundation/powder and becoming sticky...I guess I should give a try it with oil control primer. But foundation by itself is great! It is just like second skin! No false advertisement there.
Jane Iredale liquid mineral foundation: Simply beautiful, and wonderfully astonishing. The foundation is unique and covers each and every flaw! Not cheap foundation nor is a waste of money. Is recommended to everyone, one who uses will recieve the optimum results!! Simply the best.
I'm confused as for how many stars to give. I love the feel of the product, but not happy with colour. Guess I was talked into a wrong one - it looks good on cheeks and leaves no visible line on the neck, but nose and forehead look very pale, kind if ghosty. T-zone is oily and has acne, maybe it has smth to do with that?.. I got Warm Siena.
I bought this and tried it for several days. On me, it does not spread, it remains in little clumps all over my face. I tried the Jane Iredale sponge, I tried my fingers, I tried my own makeup sponge...nothing worked. Maybe there is something wrong with my bottle. I am returning for something else. I sure hope I like the tinted moisturizer. I do like the bronzer and the loose powder.
I absolutely loved the idea of the liposome capsule and delivery system with this foundation. I became a Jane Iredale fan with the starter kit in creamy, and have purchased everything from the Mystikol set, the 'smoke gets in your eyes' shadow set, to each color of the lip fixation product, and have been thrilled. I am wondering whether my unsatisfactory experience with the liquid minerals foundation is an unusual one, or whether others have experienced a gritty texture that almost peels off the skin after a short period of time. I tried pumping more of the product out of the container, to the point I had wasted a significant amount, and yes, indeed, discovered a slightly creamier product. However, the next time I used it, there was the gritty stuff again! SInce I am a huge fan of the line in general, and really want to have the results others have spoken about in their reviews of the liquid foundation, I hope that I simply got a "bad batch'" similar to that of other reviewers who bought the lipstick. I had a similar experience with the shade "sharon"...so beautiful in the tube, I couldn't wait to apply it, but was extremely disappointmented with the dry texture and flat color. I have ordered other shades of the lipstick to try, and at $19 I am willing to take a chance. However, the liquid minerals foundation is a little pricey to waste copious amounts looking for the right texture, or to try numerous bottles in search of a 'good batch" ! Has anyone else had this experience?
I've just got and tried my new foundation and was impressed - so silky and light. I can't feel it on my skin - very comfortable. And what is really amazing that this foundation coverage is very good. I mean it is not transparent like tinted moisturizers. And having acne prone sensitive skin I couldn't find a good foundation until today! Thank you!
I have to be honest, it took me some time to get used to liquid minerals foundation. Once I found the right shade and proper application, I have been happy with the result. Goes on nicely with the flocked sponge. Next, I will finish with amazing base when I want more coverage. Overall, a nice product that feels good on the skin.
I have gotten so many compliments on my foundation since I started using Jane Iredale. I have even noticed a change in my skin for the better. Provides natural coverage when used alone or full coverage when paired with either the loose or pressed powder. Fantastic!
I love this foundation! I am using a prescription acne treatment and this foundation does a great job of evening my complexion while not irritating my very sensitive skin. The coverage is sheer to medium, but tones the red enough for my needs(I also use disappear for blemishes and dust amazing base when i want more coverage). I tossed all my other make up and will only use Jane Iredale :)
My skin was so dry and the powder bases made it look dryer. The Liquid Minerals makes my look moisturized and beautiful...I'm thrilled. I also have very sensitive skin and most make up irritates or makes it break out. I'm pleased to say Jane Iredale products have never done either. I give this make up an A+++!
I thought this foundation was a little expensive but I have been wanting to try a liquid mineral foundation. I love this product! A little goes a long way and it smooths into your skin very easy. It feels silky on your face. It does not provide a lot of coverage if you are looking for that. I pair it with the mineral loose powder and the coverage is perfect.
I attended a gala event for which this make-up was expressly bought You have a life-long customer...I received more compliments from people I didn't even know! They said my "skin glowed", and that's not bad to hear as a 67 year-old!! Thank you, thank you, thank you for creating a product for older women who still want to present their best face to the public. As a retired teacher, I wish I had found you sooner, but, as they say, better late than never. This foundation laid the canvas for your other wonderfully created products to do their jobs! Best of all, it didn't affect my ultra-sensitive skin.
This is the best foundation I have ever used. I have tried many from QVC and find I am still going back to Jane. I get so many complements when using,it covers but is natural and feels great on my face.Do not be afraid to try even though pricy worth it in the end.
I really like this foundation. It really gives good coverage and feels nice. For me though, I need the purepressed compact to put over this because I have hyperpigmentation so I need a lot of coverage and although I really like this foundation it doesn't cover as good as the compact. But when I use the compact alone it does not look as good as when I combine them. Also, since the foundation is in a bead format, I can't take it to a store and try to match the color on a less expensive foundation. I really like Jane Iredale products. They are great.
I wanted to love this product and unfortunately it causes my skin to break out. I tried the product on several occasions and each time it caused a new breakout. If it didn't cause my skin to break out I would give it 4 stars. It blends well,is moisturizing, your skin looks nice and dewy but you have to add extra SPF protection under or above the liquid foundation.
This foundation is everything that I had hoped for. The color matched perfect and goes on smooth. It feels light and soft on your skin while giving full coverage.
I love Jane Iredale Liguid Minerals foundation! The foundation gives my skin a wonderful glow! It also has helped my overall complexion!
I have used this product for years, but am starting to question if it's the right one for me. I am 50 years old, with large pores and greasy skin which is acne prone. I use this foundation, followed by amazing minerals powder for extra coverage. It looks great for maybe an hour and then my large pores look accentuated as my oil takes over. I have tried a BB creme sample, and broke out. Also did the moisturizing tint (not enough coverage). Do you have any ideas? Any plans to make a oil free heavier coverage foundation?
This does not cover at all---it feels good when you apply it---light and smooth, but it does not mix well, no matter how you shake the bottle, or how much you try an blend it together before application. As other reviewers have stated, it leaves little dots of mineral makeup and you have to try and wipe it away. I cover it with the powder foundation---if not, you might as well just apply water to your skin. Very expensive for such an ineffective product.
If you need something heavier than a tinted moisturizer, but traditional foundation or BB creams are too heavy, this Liquid Minerals is perfect! It can be layered, so I can target certain areas with a little more coverage and other areas with a little less. The end product is skin that has coverage but is very natural looking (even in the sunlight). This line also has a wide range of shades, and I recommend being matched by someone trained in this line to find the right shade (don't try to figure it our yourself by testing it on your hand or arm, you will most likely get the wrong shade). I haven't had any problems with the beads blending together. It works well with my combo/oily skin and has good staying power even without a primer.
Love it...it is everything I have been looking for! It is light and gives my skin a natural, dewy glow...and it is the first foundation that I have found since going gluten free that doesn't react with my skin! Thank you!!! I have converted all my makeup to Jane iredale and won't be going back, although it is pricey it lasts forever and is well worth it!
I am an esthetician and recommend this wonderful foundation to all my clients although I do not sell it in my business. (Business is in extension of home) I have so many clients that absolutely love the product but I do show them my method of application. After trying so many different ways I found the best way is using one pump onto my fingertips, I then move my fingertips together pressing ever so softly until the little dots have disappeared and then apply ever so gently to the face. Then I use the spray and blend finishing with the gentle downward stroke. Their usual comment, OMG my face is glowing. I do have a huge request....Last year my two most favorite colors were removed from the line. Honey bronze liquid foundation and Maggie lipstick. I noticed that there are more warm colors than cool, but the cool complexions are just as abundant as ever. Please think abaout adding more cool liquid foundations, especially in the darker shades. And Maggie, well I still cannot find a replacement, it was the most beautiful shade you have in your lip line. Actually I have been using one of your cream blushes, close but not Maggie. Thanks
I love this company and buy everything I puy on my face from Iredale, but I recently purchased a Liquid Minerals Foundation that has what looks and feels like many tiny bits of paper or some-such thing that won't smooth out no matter how much I blend it on my face or in my hand. Faulty batch?
I always had a hard time finding just the right shade of foundation until I tried Jane Iredale. I was thrilled to find my PERFECT shade! I have been using Honey Bronze Liquid Minerals Foundation and LOVE it. But now I found out it's being discontinued and I am very sad. Most colors are too pale, too yellow, too dark, too . . . . Honey Bronze was just the right amount of Pink, not too light and not too dark. It was JUST RIGHT! Is it possible they will bring it back? Debbie
I wanted to love this make up. It was light and sheer the first time I used it and then as other reviews have stated it became clumpy, like there were little balls all over my face when I would apply it. I was pumping the bottle away to get a smooth application. No dice. Maybe some bottles are defective.
This doesn't go on smoothly. The minerals leaves bumpy lumps and don't blend. If I use my fingers it works a little better but it still leaves little gritty pieces of mineral around. It doesn't hydrate my skin really either. I can't really tell if there's much coverage either. *sigh* I'll try the other one, but I really liked the idea of this one, just doesn't work.
Several years ago, I did a TON of research to find exactly the perfect shade of healthy, natural foundation, and I was thrilled to find it in the Honey Bronze Liquid Minerals Foundation from Jane Iredale. I have been ordering it on automatic refill from DermStore.com for years--but today they told me this shade has been discontinued. WHY?????!!!! It's not easy to find Jane Iredale products to try out new shades--I had to drive a long way to do it the first time, and believe me I tried every shade before choosing Honey Bronze. Nothing else came close to matching my skin color--Natural was too pale and made me look sickly, and I can't stand the feel of powder on my face. I will have to start over with another brand now, which I really don't want to do. PLEASE BRING BACK HONEY BRONZE!!!!
I had found the best match to my skin with the color Autumn. Now they don't have it? has anyone had the same problem and tried aother color that worked? If so, Please tell me the color. I'm going cazy ere.
I bought this after reading the reviews and absolutely love it! I put it on the back of my hand then use a brush to put it on. It stays put!
This foundation is great. I love how I feel like I'm giving something good to my skin when I apply it. It's very cool and soothing. its wet not oily. Its very spa like if that makes sense. it can cover well. It's pretty sheer at first but is buildable. Now as much as I love jane iredale I am not satisfied by the girl who supposedly is the expert that sells it at my local spa. She was very rude to me. I made it to the 500 dollar milestone at the spa (all of it was spent on jane iredale for myself to use and review) and the girl told me this is not a makeup shop. So snobby! I felt deflated. Exspecially after how much I had spent over the past two weeks. I see many people buying makeup there so I don't know why she treated me this way. She also color matched me wrong on the pure press base i felt on purpose. whats bad is that i put up with it because i wanted to buy this makeup so bad. Now i feel like I have to order off the Internet just to get this brand. That's not helpful if you need something in a pinch. It's very discouraging.
While the color (Amber) is a perfect match, after the first time using it the pump dispenses small gritty pieces of product that don't blend in no matter how much I rub them. I take a tissue to blot them off my face, but am disappointed like some of the other reviewers in the pump's flawed design. Colors are beautiful though
