I worked in cosmetics for three years and have tried ALOT of foundations, and this base is by far the best. It feels light and clean, yet can build to flawless coverage. It is gentle too and a perfect concealer for acne prone skin. I will be using this product for years to come!!!
Best foundation ever invented
You do not need to be a make artist to apply this foundation. First time I found such an easy foundation, no smudges, apply as much colour as is required. One PurePressed last me more than a year! So it's worth all your money!

Wow, seriously great coverage and so natural and light looking! I recently made the switch to all natural and organic products. I was nervous when purchasing this foundation because of all the color choices.... warm silk matches me perfectly! I do find mid day I get a little shine on my nose. I think I'll purchase the oil control pressed powder here soon. Thank Jane for making such an amazing product. I just got this yesterday, if I find I don't break out from this I will be a dedicated customer for life! :)
color selection
My friends, family and myself applaude Jane Iredale on having the variety of colors for the mineral foundation in the global selection! There are many companies that have only 4 or 5 color choices, and within those 4 or 5 choices there is nothing for women of color. Hopefully other companies will get a clue and follow this example.

It's both safe and better than any other pressed powder I've tried. When you want a little more coverage than the loose powder, this is it!
Best Foundation I've Ever Used
I have been using these products for over 5 years. I've tried just about every foundation out there from drug store brands to pricey department store foundations. I have never found a foundation that does everything that JI does. It has no equal that I have found in coverage, look, feel, and benefits for the skin. I'm an esthetician and I tell all my clients to use JI, once they do they never go back - neither have I!
Fabulous coverage
This pressed powder provides fabulous coverage while still maintaining a natural look. It never looks overdone and resists caking no matter how many times you touch up during the day. The fact that it is non-irritating and provides UVA/UVB protection is definitely a big plus. It provides shine protection all day long. My only complaint is that I wish they made it in a lighter shade. I ordered Ivory, which is okay for the height of summer, but I won't be able to wear it in winter.
Fantastic, Wonderful!
I love this product! Great feel (not heavy or cakey) Ivory was light enough for my skin tone (very white skin!), though it had a bit of a pinkish tinge-not for me. I'm looking forward to trying Bisque though, i think it will go much better. Also it provides a lot of coverage!

This pressed powder base is excellent! It has the light weight feel of a powder, but provides excellent coverage! I have tried other mineral powders, but they don't provide foundation like coverage. This product is the best, and I love the sun screen element!
PERFECT
I have used Jane Iredale's pressed powder in Golden Glow for years. I have light/medium olive Asian skin. My skin is acne prone, oily AND dry, and I have some flushing/redness and age spots. The pressed powder is perfect for my skin tone....and it does not exasperate any of my skin problems. I LOVE this product. If you need an additional concealer, I highly recommend their ZapHide in medium. It is so easy to use, glides on smoothly and creamily, really covers age spots, and is not messy at all. The combination of the Golden Glow pressed powder and ZapHide in medium, is PERFECT. Although the pressed powder might seem expensive, it lasts for months and months (over 4 months). And their refill compacts are such a great and affordable eco-option when it's time to get more!
The best Ive used!!
I was introduced to this make up a few years ago after long suffering with rosacea skin. It has been wonderful, It gives great coverage were needed and still looks natural without looking like a mask! Thank you Jane for this awsome product, its given me my confidence back! doesn't match undertones well
I purchased this product in butternut on my search for a natural make-up for african american skin. The coverage is fantastic but, it makes me look ashy. It doesn't match my undertone well at all. If that can be resolved this foundation would be beyond super!
Amazing Foundation
I love this foundation, it's lightweight but covers up my problem areas. I have acne problems and I feel like this is the best foundation to use to make sure I don't breakout. I have fair skin and Amber works best for me. LOVE IT!!

Superb product
You can wear this as a finishing powder or use it alone and it works equally well. It controls shine superbly without getting that clumpy over-powered look even after a mid-afternoon, touch-up application. Full coverage in a light formula. Just a superb product. I LOVE it and use it daily.

When I go on vacation I know I don't need to put sunscreen on my face, because this product is so effective! Love it
Troubled Skin
This foundation is amazing! Full coverage and WEIGHTLESS!!! I am 24, brand new to makeup, this was easy and feels so light. Along with a good regimen, this make up did not break me out at all. Definitely recommend this for all types of skin.

absolutely amazing
I am 120% satisfied with this product - I will go that far and say that it is a necessity in my world..I have been using it for about five years and I feel happy every time I use it. It never disappoints me. I have a red undertone in my skin, and it covers it up beautifully without giving me a "make up" face. I have been told that it does not look like I am wearing any make up when wearing this product..That must say it all.

I was desperately looking for something that didn't make me break out. After doing some research I cam across Jane Iredale and I couldn't be more happy!! Natural Yet Great Coverage
I love PurePressed Base. Gives me an even looking Natural skin tone and covers really well. I have extremely oily skin and love the way this blends and doesn't crease or change color by the end of the day. Plus, it's light weight and never feels like I'm wearing foundation at all.

I have been a fan of PurePressed Base for years. Last weekend, I got a bad chemical burn from a facial hair remover cream. My skin was red, raw, sore all over. It was very painful. My skin looked terrible and I would not have been able to go to work without using foundation to cover it. I honestly didn't know if PPB would be able to cover the damage as I healed. Very gently, I applied PPB with my Handi Brush in layers. I was amazed at the beautiful coverage I got! I didn't even need to use concealer on the redder/rougher patches. I just layered a little extra product on those places. PPB and my Handi Brush got me through the week. Now, I am back to my regular lighter application of PPB. I remain a loyal fan of this mineral foundation. It works great for me under normal circumstances and did not let me down one bit during extenuating circumstances.

I love this product
I use this product and Im a huge lover of Shiseido's Sheer Matifing Compact and there powdery foundation I would say its deff compareble. i have lots of red in my skin and it truly looked like my skin was normal lol. Im turly thinking I may just use this for now on. It feels like there is nothing on your skin and I dont even have to reachtouch for hours. Really its that good.

Jane Iredale carries the best makeup products in the world. I grew up on that belief because it is the only mineral makeup that we trust and carry at the office where I work. :) I'm very thankful to my mother for supplying it, as our clients get the best and so do I! I'm only twenty, but I can't ever see myself buying any other brand. I've worn the Pure Pressed base in Radiant for at least three years and I will continue to do so! I used another (well known ) mineral foundation for a LONG time, it was good but I switched to this one due to the purity of it and that it came in a pressed form and I LOVE IT so much better than my old brand. Will be my foundation for life.
Found the right shade
I've been wearing Pressed Mineral Powder for some time. Because I've shopped on line I've had to guess at the correct shade. Well I've finally discovered the best shade ,Burnt Sienna, It has a hint of yellow and actually makes my skin look creamy. It duplicates Bobbie Brown's Warm Sand. I also wear Warm silk sometimes in the center area of my face.Great combo and great foundations.
Best Foundation Ever!
I started using Jane Iredale a year ago. It is literally the best make up I have ever used - I'm hooked! I have problem skin and I break out a lot. Once I started using the pure pressed foundation I noticed a huge change in my skin. And when I do break out, it does an amazing job of covering up without looking cakey. My skin is glowing in pictures. So glad I found this foundation! I will never go back to anything else.

This foundation is worth every penny! I was a little reluctant to purchase this product because I don't ever use foundation or powder, but the pure pressed powder is amazing! It's like you're not wearing any make up at all... untill you look in the mirror and your skin is flawless :) I would recommend this to anyone and everyone :)

Am I doing something wrong? I am not getting the flawless smooth look that other reviews are mentioning. I was turned onto JI by my sister, who loves purepressed base. Her skin is more oily and mine is dry. I really don't think this is the best for dry skin.I am using the hydration spray and a spa quality moisturizer. Love circle delete though.

Love PurePressed® Base SPF 20
I recently discovered Jane Iredale at my primary M.D. office. I love my new primary doctor so her endorsement was important to me. Now, I love Jane Iredale! I use PurePressed Base and Disappear Concealer. I am prone to breakouts but have noticed improvement. It is hard to color match online so I hope it helps to know that 'Warm Silk' works well with my medium-light complexion, light brown hair (dark blond) and blue eyes.

I've tried just about every high end foundation but never found one that didn't feels like plaster on my skin. It's quick to go on and feels light but gives good coverage. Have had a lot of comments of how good my skin has been looking. It also has great staying power have only had to blot once with some paper towards the end of the day
Great but color different than loose powder
I love jane iredale products so much. I am an esthetician and I recommend it to every guest I have. It really helps to heal and enchance beauty of our skin. I have used many products from concealers too blushes bronzers etc. Most of the time I was purchasing amazing base in bisque. Recently i have decided to try the press powder in bisque . It seems like the press powder has slightly diferent color. It looks much lighter on my skin than amazing base. I do not know why? I hope i can exchange it for the loose powder. I also wanted to point out that it is just so beautifully packed when you purchase online. The lavedner touch to the packaging is so lovely. I love Jane Iredale
Best stuff out there!
I have never liked putting makeup on my face. But I work with estiticians who are always on my case to take care of my skin. This power does that and is a sunblock all in one. I don't even feel it when I am wearing it and my boyfriend, who hates makeup also, doesn't even notice I wear it. I have been a Jane Iredale addict and love the customer service they offer they customers. <3!!

Love the all day coverage and SPF 20. I use this over my Dream Tint with a spritz of the D2O and the coverage is superb!
Great Shade
I'm loving the Pure Pressed Base in the Warm Sienna shade. This is my second time around after trying Amber and Warm Silk. This shade has more of the corrective color of yellow which seems to even out my skin tone nicely. I've received many compliments on my "even skin tone" . Only I know its the makeup!!!!!!!!

Thank you Jane Iredale! I am a massive massive JI fan, and this little product is the one that started it all off about 3 years ago. No matter what I do (exercise, teach, work, run), this foundation stays put. Best of all, it has full spf protection from our scorching Australian sun, and looks so natural when applied. I use Jane Iredale dream tint underneath, applied with the brush. What I love most about this beautiful product is that you can layer up or down for a more finished or more natural look, and it just wears all day long. I get so many comments about my skin, but what people are really commenting on is this wonderful, beautiful product - thank you Jane Iredale! :-)
Very Impressed
I have owned this product for almost 3 months now and I've never been someone to use a foundation at all never the less a powder one. I have a naturally oily complexion and this did just the trick!I love the matte finish it leaves and it really does have a beautiful glow to it.
Best Foundation yet!
I will never use a different foundation again! It has great natural coverage, it's light weight, and it smells amazing! Best of all, it doesn't irritate or cause my skin to break out. I wore this to an indoor pool party and I got splashed and it was very humid there. After a few hours, I still looked perfect! No more hunting for the "perfect foundation"-I found mine!

I have been a Bare Minerals user for number of years. I heard how great Jane Iredale is and decided to try it. I used the purePressed in Golden Glow for the first time today. I am an instant convert. The application is easy, the look is flawless and I will never use Bare Minerals or any other mineral foundation again. Just wish there was better accessibility to the products before I buy. It would be nice to see the products live instead of on a website.
BEST foundation ever used!
I remember the day I used this for the first time - FINALLY a product that matched my skin tone and covered my flaws without making me feel guilty to wearing layers of oily gunk! When I discovered this, I was still in my early 20s and breaking out regularly. Several years later, I'm still using this and find that I use significantly less with no breakouts to hide. Golden Glow is the perfect match for my skin year-round, and for the first in my life, I get compliments on my glowing skin. This is easier to apply than Bare Minerals, a better color match, more SPF protection, and less hassle because the minerals are pressed. For me, these reasons out-weigh the additional cost. This is JI's best product, hands down.
Exceeded my expectations!
This is the best mineral foundation powder! I use it in the color latte along with disappear to cover my acne and acne scarring and it works like a charm! I love the packaging too! Jane Iredale is the best natural makeup company on the market. I love, love love their products! Purepressed base is the perfect natural looking powder with medium coverage. Highly recommended!
pretty, but doesn't last
I like the ease of use and the finish of this makeup - it blends well and looks natural. However, I have oily skin and within an hour of application my whole face looks greasy. I've had much better luck with loose setting powders for oil control. Am I applying it wrong? I don't want to give up on it, but the oil breakthrough is ruining the finish. Any tips?

My favorite makeup
I switched to this foundation from Bare Minerals about 3 years ago and I have to say this is the best foundation I have ever used. It gives great coverage without caking or drying and looks beautiful. It is so light and easy to use and I just love it.
Another winner
Use this product daily. It lasts me a very long time before I need to reorder. I set it with a hydration mist and it lasts all day with no caky look. I usually use the warm silk for my fair skin but have started using Amber over the summer and absolutely love it. I used jane iredale brushes to apply and it works wonderfully.
Not good
Made me so itchy!! I have dermatitis around my eyes now. I have NEVER been allergic to any other makeup products. Disappointed.
Excellent
As a former user of another mineral foundation line, I found Pure Pressed a far superior product in ease of application and coverage. The level of coverage is easier to control and more natural looking - not powdery. The color selections are great and natural looking.
Greatest Foundation Ever!
I wish I had found this product ten years ago. I have oily, blotchy skin, and I have tried so many different mineral foundations, none of which worked. Jane Iredale makes my skin look smooth, even, and radiant. It's wonderful to feel so good about how I look. I put on the Pure Pressed Base in the morning, and around lunch I use some blotting paper to freshen up. I look fantastic all day. Thank you to the geniuses at Jane Iredale!
Love It
I love this foundation. I used Shaklee's makeup for over 20 years but they have since discontinued it. On my search for a replacement I came across Jane Iredale. I love it and have recommended it to others. I have freckles and redness on my checks and chin so I use 1 squirt of the Liquid Minerals to even out my coloring and finish it off with the PurePressed mineral foundation. I tried the Dream Tint, but it left my complextion too oily because I do use a moisterizer.

I have tried all kinds of make-up bases. This one is the best! Stays on, looks flawless. Easy to put on! Good for your skin! Perfect! Golden Glow is a great color for me. I have a lot of yellow in my skin, so it's a very warm color. I tried the one shade lighter and it was too pale. I think this one will work all year round! Love it!
Pure Pressed Base
I enjoy using the Pure Pressed Base in Radiant Color. I know when I did the on-line survey of recommended shades, it tried to steer me toward more biege tones with my pink undertones, however when I tried different shades in the Beauty Store, we felt this was my best match. I use this with the Handi Brush at the beginning of the day and touch-up in the afternoon with a cosmetic sponge. I finish my make-up with the Palmist Hydration Spray. I just wish that the cosmetic sponge that comes with the powder was a thicker one that felt more like the cosmetic sponges you can find at a drug store or the Mac counter for instance. I purchased my own cosmetic sponge if I need to touch-up my chin. (I wear a face-mask all day for my line of work). Thank you Jane Iredale for natural ingredients!!
Best makeup I've ever worn
I can't say enough about Jane Iredale mineral foundations. Absolutely the best product I've ever worn. I have never worn makeup that has such flawless coverage, yet feels so light on the skin. I'll admit too that I'm sometimes lazy and go to sleep with it on, and never once has it caused a problem. I love this product!!!
Love It!!!
I received this product as a replacement for another product I did not like. All I can say is-LOVE IT! Great coverage-lasts all day with no touch-ups, easy to apply. It's a keeper! I think next time I will choose the next darker shade though( chose light beige) .
Best On The Market
If I could, I would give this 10 stars. I've tried countless foundations, and this is the only one i've found that truly matches my skin tone. I'm pretty fair skinned, but have a touch of yellow to my complexion. I end up having to go too light to avoid looking orange. I thought I would forever be doomed with a ring around my jawline until I found my perfect match! Warm Sienna in the PurePressed is my exact shade, I don't even have to blend. I would recommend this for all skin types, as well. People with oil skin may like this better than the loose powder. I have acne scars and combination skin and find It provides a nice matifying coverage so my scars aren't highlighted. But it also gives a nice dewy look as not too look to stiff or "rubbery", which tends to happen with other foundations. I couple the PurePressed with the Delete Concealer as a full coverage, and it doesn't feel like I'm wearing much makeup at all. Even though the Delete Concealer is typically for under the eye, I like to use it all over because it matches my skin so well. Overall you just can't go wrong with any Jane Iredale products. On the fence about this product
I got this product and the very next day the foundation was breaking in to little bits and then as I continued to use it the chunks got bigger and bigger. I love how it feels on my skin and the coverage, although I have very oil skin and severe acne its the best if found so far. I use a oil control gel but after putting my makeup on not an hour later my skin will look like someone threw a pan of greese on my face I just wished I could make it last longer without sliding off in an hour or so. Overall I'm Disapointed.
Bisque
Fantastic foundation! It covers all your imperfections and leaves your skin looking flawless. This foundation does not settle into fine lines and lasts all day.
Shiny, shiny, shiny
I have combination skin and always have shine to deal with a few hours after I apply my makeup. Its a little bit of a nuisance but always managable. Not so with this makeup. This foundation was incredibly shiny within 30 minutes and got so oily all the makeup just slid off. I'm applying in light layers with the brush but I could have spread Vaseline on my face and had the same effect as this makeup. I'm going back to my old foundation and returning this expensive oil slick makeup.
Great customer service
I recently wrote a review regarding my local representatives refusal to provide any samples and their reluctance to exchange a product due to wring color. I received an email from a Jane Iredale personal shopper who addressed my concerns. She informed me that samples are available and their policy is to happily provide exchanges. She has mailed me samples of products I requested. Companies like this one that respond so quickly, certainly earn my loyalty.
GOOD FOR YOUR SKIN
Love that this make up won't break you out and is so good for your skin. But I have to say I didn't fall in Love with this product until I started using the Smooth Affair Primer and Glow Time BB cream along with it. All you need is very little amount of both so it will last you a very long time. It's definitely worth the investment. I'm glad I got a sample to try at my dermatologist's office. Now I have the coverage I want along with all the great qualities this makeup has to offer! Thanks Jane!
Warm Sienna is great for olive skintones and lighter medium complexions
I have olive undertones and a medium-medium complexion, coral colors and gold jewelry looks best on me. I first ordered this powder online in the shade Autumn, and realized it was too dark but fell in love with how it felt and made my skin glow. So I kept it to use as a bronzer. I loved it so much, I traveled 45 miles to the Jane Iredale Retailer - ICI Paris Spa Salon in Peachtree City, Georgia 30269 to try and buy my perfect shade of liquid minerals, pressed powder and a few other JI products. I was shocked when no one even came to help me but rather after a few minutes one of the ladies told me "I know you're having fun but we're going to need you to clear this area". I was surprised JI could offer their products to such spas that have such poor customer service. I was humiliated and clearly wasted my time traveling so far. After months, I went to The Nordstrom Spa inside Perimeter Mall in Atlanta and thankfully they actually have good customer service. I'm currently using PurePressed in Warm Sienna. It may look very light in the pan but it is quite self adjusting to match your skintone. It has a yellow undertone and works great with my olive skin. It has a luminous finish and a little goes a long way. My advice would be to use the pommist hydration spray as a companion. Great product Jane Iredale!
Breakouts
I love this makeup, it does provide awesome coverage. However, did anyone else experience breakouts? I am thinking its the algae extract. Its an ingredient I do not think was in any other makeup I've used before. I have been using this now for four weeks and have experienced a lot of breakouts. Just interested in knowing if anyone else did? If your skin doesn't break out, this makeup is the best. Thank you.
New favorite product!!
I absolutely love this pure pressed foundation so much I switched from using foundation to using powder! I will never use anything else. My only concern is the color; I was color matched with golden glow is an absolute perfect color but would oxidize later and look ashy. I tried the warm sienna-- in combination with golden glow and it looked great! Now I am out of golden glow and only use warm sienna. I want to use only one shade-- the right shade for my skin! I set my makeup with the hydration mist which I, also love!! The place I purchased this from refuses to exchange it for the right shade :( I am dissatisfied with the customer service I have received. I am however, now a forever Jane Iredale client and wish I discovered this line many many years ago!!!

I love this foundation. It does a great job covering without feeling heavy. In fact, you can't even tell it is there. The best part is that is doesn't clog pours or cause break outs. I love it!

Love, Love, Love this product. Best foundation I have ever tried/used, hands down. Customer for life! It's only taken me 15 years to find it :) Coverage is amazing, lasts all day, leaves my skin glowing, looks/feels natural and the best part is you can feel it's good for your skin. Very impressed!
Base Mineral Foundation
I use the warm silk foundation. I covers great yet I don't look like makeup is caked on. I have been using Jane Iredale since 2009 and would use nothing else.

Ive been wearing this foundation for over ten years, and absolutely love it. I have a global olive skin tone that is very hard to match and Jane has done it. True staying power, natural, flawless, and great for your skin what more could you ask for. I am in my mid 30's and get complimented all the time. Highly recommend!
Great for Sensitive Skin!
Having such a light skin tone coupled with sensitive skin I have always had issues with makeup. This is the first powder I have ever used that doesn't cause me to break out! It covers so smoothly and matches my skin tone perfectly. When I do get blemishes, it completely covers them without looking clumpy. Thanks Jane for making me feel beautiful!
Not Sure Where to Start
I have been using Bare Minerals and would really like to try this make-up but not sure where to start. I wear fairly light in the Bare Minerals. I am not sure if I am a cool, warm, neutral or where I would fit in the fair, light or light/med tones. I have brown hair, brown eyes and rather light skin. Any help on what shade foundation may work for me would be appreciated.

I love Jane Iredale makeup and have to say the PurePressed Mineral Foundation has been the best product for my sensitive skin. It provides excellent coverage and doesn't make my face look blotchy or too oily. I have friends who have frequently asked what I use and though it's a little more pricey it's definitely worth it when it comes to my skin. I have tried other mineral foundations and powders and this is by far the best!

After reading great reviews for this product, I went to the nearest spa to buy it. I have a yellow undertone and the girl said latte would be best. But it looks too dark and you cant return the product.I have also found that my skin has been getting dry and peeling, I've never had this problem before.

I "graduated" to Jane Iredale after several years of using Bare Minerals. This provides more coverage, but still looks completely natural, and it's far less messy than loose powder. The Radiant shade is perfect for my medium skin.
Best makeup ever
I'll start off by saying while I was given the wrong color it is still the most impressive makeup I ever used. I bought the starter kit. It comes with pure pressed base in it. This makeup does not settle in my pores and make them look worst. I use the d2o hydration spray they sell to go with this product and I look so smooth.. feels so soothing to skin but covers very well. I got the wrong shade in this but I went back and bought the bb cream in my color and just use my pressed base to warm up my skin around the cheeks. I only have one place that I know of where I can by jane iredale so I don't want to mess that up. I want feel comfortable shopping there forever. jane girl for life now.
Finally I'm in love!
I have extremely acne prone sensitive skin. This is the main reason why I choose Jane Iredale. MAC made me break out like crazy and any other makeup brand that I tried did the same as well, even if it claimed to be "oil-free". When I tried Jane Iredale, I not only loved the makeup and the way it made my skin "glow" but I also loved the way my skin reacted to it. I no longer have breakouts from using makeup/foundation and it is all thanks to Jane Iredale! I highly recommend this makeup for any skin type! The price is worth it!
Great Pressed Powder!!!
I love this product, I first tried it out in Latte and it turned out to be too dark. I sent an email to see if theirs anything I could do, and Katelyn emailed me back right away and was so helful!!! I have to say I am a Jane Iredale customer for life!! Thank you for the great customer service.
The best
This pure pressed base foundation is everything they say it is. It looks good on even my dry skin which is hard to accomplish. You have to smooth it on in a downward motion using the brush or spondge. I couldn't wear the bare minerals because the buffing in circular motions produces alot of micro exfoliation on the skin and causes any dry patches to stick up and catch the minerals.

I have to say that this company and the staff are the best I have ever encountered. Thanks to them I was able to easily find products that match my skin tone and get me on my way to experiencing all the great things Jane Iredale has to offer. I love the pure pressed base and I spritz with d20 every time. I don't have that orange peel like skin and it doesn't make dry skin look worse. I am going to try the absence primer underneath it soon.
pure pressed base ivory
i love the texture and the coverage of this product it is absolutely amazing so natural looking,long lasting, and not hard to apply.i purchased this in a salon in ireland and am very fair sadly i was advised towards the wrong colour.the ivory is just way too pale i actually look ill wearing this colour.i can no longer wear the product because of the poor colour match.i am angry at myself for spending 56 euros on the wrong colour.i would try jane iredale again the products are actually good for your skin but i just wish they provided samples its frustrating to find a great product and spend so much on the wrong colour.
