Great product! What shade of lip fixation would go well with Awake blush (I also use bisque base)?
I purchased whisper from a boutique store, I loved it the color, could do with less shimmer though. However, after a week of using it and keeping it in my makeup bag, the blush broke. These little guys break easily and once they break it's a powdery mess whenever you try to apply it. Even though it did break I to pieces, the product is awesome, free of the colored chemicals. I will continue to buy.
I used Golden Apricot for more than 10 years. It was PERFECT - light and long-lasting and fresh-looking. When it was no longer available, I bought xxx and xxx. Neither color is a good replacement color, and both require more product to be applied for color, which gives a chalky appearance rather than a fresh appearance. I've tried several other brands and am lamenting that you dropped Golden Apricot. Bring it back!
I bought this in two colours: mocha and sheer honey. I think the colour descriptions and swatches have been updated since, because I expected mocha to be a brown shade and it's actually quite pink, which isn't what I wanted. Sheer honey is pretty much as described, but I find them both quite thick and almost chalky on. They're ok, but none of the other colours appeal so I won't be repurchasing.
Please bring back the olor Blushed!!!!!!!! I really really need it!!!!!!!!
I first wrote a rating that praised this product, and to be honest, I still think it's great. However, my blush literally broke into a million pieces. I've never have had this happen before, but still it's a shame. I want to repurchase my shade, but I'm a bit weary it will crumble on me again. :/
I used to purchase a color that is no longer in stock. What color would you recommend for someone who uses the "caramel" pure pressed base? Thank you!
Please bring back Tawny blush! It's the best shade.
I absolutely love this blush! I use In Love and the color is great. It applies nice and easily, and it lasts. Very happy with this product!
I originally purchased the PurePressed Blush in In Love, but when I received it, I noticed it had a lot of gold shimmer, which was really pretty, but not for me…So I emailed Customer Service, and they sent me an new blush in Dubonnet, which is similar in tone to the In Love, but no shimmer at all. I received it very quickly, and it is perfect in color. Really natural looking and soft. Just for color match reasons, I use the Purepressed in Amber or Warm Sienna usually and the blush looks great with my skin tone! Thank you Jane Iredale for your impeccable Customer Service and products…You never disappoint!
I love this blush. It is subtle, but can be layered for a bit more of a "pop". I use Cotton Candy, and just started using Whisper. Cotton candy is a pretty pink for that rosy look and a bit of sparkle. Whisper is a bit more sophisticated with peach undertones. Beautiful! (I use Warm Sienna base if anyone is looking for blush colors to go with that skin tone)
I LOVE JI products. And this blush lasts forever. I wish you had a bright pink though. I have yet to find the perfect bkush color through JI.
When Golden Apricot was discontinued, I never thought I'd find another shade that worked well for me. However, I have - mocha! It's kind of a natural pinky brown that looks wonderful with my summer shade "Golden Glow" foundation. The pan looks small, but a little goes a long way and I've had no issue with crumbling or fragility. Definitely worth the purchase once you find your correct shade. I want to try "Sheer Honey" next! :)
I ordered this product and I LOVE it. I have very fair skin and I think this works well with my skin.
I was extremely excited to try this product however when I received it in the mail. It was everywhere..literally. I guess it broke apart during shipping. I can't return it and I can't use it.. what a waste of money.
Bring back Tawny pure pressed blush. I have tried Copper Wind, Awake and Barely Rose. They are all too dark and bright. I feel like a clown wearing them. Although I love the way Jane Iredale blush goes on and looks when worn in the right shade, none of the current shades works for me. Tawny was perfect! I'm now wearing Clinique blush in order to get a shade that looks nice.
So bummed you don't have plum blush anymore what can I use?
Purchased Cotton Candy at a salon on Saturday. On Wednesday the teeny tiny and very slippery container flew out of my hands and shattered on the floor. The color was nice, but the container is crummy. I spent way to much money on this for it to be destroyed in less than a week. Needs to be packaged better - I see lots of other reviews here with the same complaint.
Hi I have been a long time user of Cinnamon Blush. It has been suggested (two emails from Jane Iredale contacts) that i should try either Sheer Honey or Copper Wind. I have bought both to try. Neither are a replacement for Cinnamon. Sheer Honey is way too light, and Copper wind is too heavy. I am very disappointed with the fact this colour has been discontinued as well as the fact there is no near substitution for this colour. please consider brining Cinnamon back.
If you are looking for a every day light color Cotton Candy is a great choice!
Thought it was a high price for such a small box but I discovered that I do not need to take as much as I have done with other brands. "Copperwind" is the perfect much for me. Just a hint of blush. I like it!!! Hey from Sweden
It is the very best color or all skin types. Please, please, please bring back bronzer blush. So many people want this.
I have been using currant color for years and it is now discontinued. What is an equivalent color in the new options for currant? I am brunette with medium color skin. Beth
I don't see "Tawny" as a color choice. What would be a similar shade that I can purchase from you?
Please please bring back apricot blush and riveria foundation...
I have medium skin tone with an olive tint and I use, "Cheekie." Love this blush, the color is gorgeous and yet natural as well. I apply it with the fan brush which is the easiest brush for applying blusher I've ever used.
Your consultant has been very helpful and kind in trying to help me find a replacement for discontinued Tawny. No luck. Nothing even remotely close. Seems you have many complaints re. disc. colors. I truly don't mind trying something new, but I do believe there is an issue with your new line of colors. Are you trying to reach a different demographic? Because it seems you are losing your existing clients in droves, sadly. For every one person who takes the time to comment, there are hundreds who just go away.
Please, please bring back "Parfait"!!!
Years ago I used JI blush and about a year ago I decided to go back again since I really like the colors. I'm on my second one now and remember one of the reasons I stopped using them. The container is so small that I always end up dropping it and it shatters. This has happend with all the JI blushes I've had at one point. After having my last one for a week this happend again. I see others mentioning this and the answer JI gave was that it's a mineral blush which is more fragile. Exactly my point for making the container bigger.
I have been using JI products for years and love them except for one thing: the hinged containers of blush, eye shadow etc. consistently break after normal, gentle use, way before the product is gone. It's as if the plastic holding the metal hinge disintegrates. Very annoying and creates a mess in my makeup bag.
It's a very pretty color, but much darker than I anticipated. I wish there were a better way to see the colors on the computer. It's a very pigmented dark pinky red with a fair bit of sparkle. It's a pretty color, and if just applying 1 or 2 light strokes, it's works. I'm still on the fence with this one. May need to try a lighter shade (??) .. or a softer pink
Why change a good thing? Obviously a lot of people liked the Apricot blush. Going to another cosmetic company for my blush. Plain stupidity! Use to get compliments, no more!
I have been using the blush named "Whisper" and I am looking for an alternative that is a cooler version of Whisper.
I love this colour and it is a shame you have decided to discontinue it. Please reconsider and bring it back. Other colours don't seem the same.
I have been wearing Cotton Candy for probably 5 years. The last two I bought seem to be a different shade of pink. I loved this shade for the baby cool pink it was. Now it is giving me a warmer look (that I don't like) I feel like this shade was re formulated or something. It def isn't the shade I have worn for years! Bummed!
I have sensitive skin and had bad allergic reaction to Bare Minerals blush. But I'm glad I tried this line of mineral makeup. It is very gentle and I had no reactions from the blush. I'm Asian with light skin color and was a bit unsure about the Cotton Candy color when I bought it. But I love it! It looks perfectly natural and the shimmer is a nice touch. Will be trying some other products in this makeup line.
This color blush is the best!!! I purchased as many as I could when it was being discontinued and now I am running out. Please bring it back, it is a GREAT color!
Where is "flushed" blush? I have used it for years.
I love your products! Fabulous blush...beautiful texture, feel and color. What do I buy instead with cinnamon discontinued???
Loved Golden Apricot - Tried Whisper since Golden Apricot was discontinued. Whisper is just OK
I love love love bronzer blush. Why was it discontinued? I don't know what color to get now and I am out. I have fair skin with brown with a hint of green eyes and light hair.
I'm on the very last of my Parfait pressed blush and am desperate. Neither of the recommended replacement shades works for me and I hate the idea of changing to another brand. I love JI. Please, please, bring back Parfait. PLEASE.
Hello, I have pretty fair skin and have been using cotton candy for years which I absolutely love. I like the light shimmer it provides and how well it puts on with your fan brush. But im ready for a change and looking for another option. I wanted to try parfait but noticed it discontinued. Any recommendations for me or those who may be reading this with light/fair skin?
I love this blush. Please bring back the color. Bronzer. It is the best. I have ordered the other colors but none are as good
Sheer Honey is too peachy. It is NOT a good replacement for cinnamon which I've worn for many years. WHY do you keep changing away from the GOOD colors?
these blushes are so fantastic because they are unique: the only thing I have found on the market that is completely natural, very small ingredient list, and pressed. some of us can't deal with loose mineral blush. That being said, i think it's important to broaden the selection of colors. there just isn't enough variety in the color selection, and judging by other reviews, it sounds like some really great colors have been discontinued. many in fact. jane, bRING THEM BACK. i know from experience with these that the colors suggested for replacements are nowhere near the original colors. for some of us to have to switch brands because our perfect shade is no longer available is impossible because we simply can't wear any other formula.
Please bring Parfait back, no other colors look right with my skin tone. I am glad to see others feel the same.
I'm happy to see other Parfait lovers asking for a revival. I loved Parait, please bring it back for us!
please bring back the color bronzer!! it was a wonderful color
I am the biggest fan of your blush, but whatever happened to the golden apricot color? Since I started wearing makeup, it has been my favorite/only blush on the market that worked with my skin tone. I just started running out of it (it has slowly become small pebbles) and I cannot find it anywhere!
Please bring back Parfait!
I've been using Apricot for the longest time and was told to try "In Love" as a replacement. So I did. It's OK.... but after using it a couple weeks now and I must say, it's just too pink. For some reason, Jane Iredale is pushing us to purchase colors in the pink family, and they just don't look good on everyone. We need SAMPLES of the blushes, since the colors online don't always show the true color. I need a WARM, coral type color....like say, APRICOT! ;-) I don't want to have to switch my blush brands just to buy a color that fits. Please help!
I loved this product but it only lasted a couple of weeks. It's very very fragile. Mine slipped into the sink and crackled into a million unusable pieces. I was heartbroken - I'd used Clinique and my blushes lasted for years. This is too pricey to be so fragile- I may try again bc I love the color.
I have pale skin and Auburn hair. I use the Golden Apricot and LOVE it. Although, in reading some reviews, it looks like that color has been discontinued. I hope they bring it back! I was able to order another one from the place I get my makeup, so that may be the last time I get that color. :( This blush last FOREVER! The place where I buy it offers a sale in November, and I bought my blush last November 2012, and even now, Dec 2013, it is only about 3/4 gone! I use the fan shaped blush brush. It was odd to use at first, but now I love it. You only need one or two swipes with that brush over the blush for each cheek. Any more is far too much. It lasts all day too! This is very good makeup! I have worn Clinique for 20 years, and this is the first makeup other than Clinique I have been able to wear. All others make me itch or breakout. Even with the high price, I spend less with JI than I do with Clinique because I have to replace far too quickly.
I love these blushers and all Jane Iredale makeup. I just wish the website would state clearly which blushers are shimmery and which are matte.
I love parfait blush and have been using for years. Please bring back this color!!!
I have red hair and a fair complexion and have used Cinnamon blush for several years. After that color was discontinued I read through the reviews and noticed the personal shoppers recommended Sheer Honey. I recently purchased that color and could not be more satisfied with it. I actually like the Sheer Honey better than Cinnamon. Thanks for the recommendation.
Please bring Parfait back.
This blush is so subtle and goes on beautifully. Splurge on the fan brush! It deposits just the right amount of color and allows you to build the color without looking clownish.
I love the color parfait and was very disappointed to hear that it was discontinued. I am a red head and it was the perfect color for me.
Did you guys discontinue Golden Apricot? It is one of my favorite blushes. What color would be a good substitute for that? You guys should bring back the color :)
Have always used this color as my contour color and now it's not there??? Is there a similar one to it now?
I have worn cinnamon blush for years and love it. Now it discontinued! I am a redhead so not just any color works for me. What do I wear now?
I was looking for the perfect blusher and found that in parfait. I have just ordered the replacement colour in 'Awake'. I think the colour is too pink and paler and looks generally awful on me. Please bring back Parfait!
I love these blushes and own five of these powder kind. They really are amazing and look natural. These will last me a long time because you don't need a lot of it. Can't wait to try some more colors.
I have been using and loving Tawny for a very long time. What do you suggest for its replacement?
I've used parfait for years - it was perfect for my coloring. Your site recommends Awake as a substitute. For me, Awake doesn't look nearly as good - too pink, too pale. I've also tried Barely Rose, which i like a little better than Awake, but not nearly as much as Parfait. I miss Parfait!
This blush is far and above the best I've used, and I've used just about every line, from drugstore to higher end products. Goes on smoothly, looks fresh and natural all day. I've got somewhat of a fair complexion, and alternate between Dubonnet and Tawny - but always open for a new color suggestion :)
I ordered duboneet color and it is lovely on my skin tone. I wear JI's warm sienna mineral foundation. It makes me glow and looks natural
I am on my third compact of Tawny, and also have Dubonnet. I've tried so many high end brands of blush, but no surprise, this by far is my favorite! It goes on so beautifully, looking natural, and I receive compliments on how pretty my SKIN looks, not what a pretty color of blush I'm wearing, that says it all!
HEllo! Love Jane Iredale...used to use Parfait, but can't seem to find that color anywhere. What would be similar to use?
I have used the pure pressed blush, parfait color, for as long as I can remember. I just went to purchase more and realized it is discontinued. Is there a recommendation for the most similar color to parfait?
This really is a pretty color. I saw a few reviews talking about how small it is (and it is small) but it's an incredibly deep pigment - meaning a little goes a long way. I can imagine this would last a very long time. It's a color you can put on very light or deepen for a more dramatic effect.
I love this blush in Copper Wind! It shows up just the right amount against my medium/light olive toned skin! Applied to the apples of my cheeks with the White Fan Brush is perfection!
I love this blush in copper wind, but the packaging is really cheap for the price of the product. The hinge on the lid broke after less than two months. Wld be 5 stars if not for packaging
I love the whisper blush but for the summer I switched to sheer honey and it worked out perfect thanks for the help
This color is light and adds just a hint of a glow to your cheeks! It's very natural looking! I love having a hint of color but nothing too pink or red and Whisper is the perfect color!
I love this blush. I have freckles, medium skin tone, and tend to have blotchy skin. I'm 44 with combination skin. I don't remember the color I bought and have since tossed the compact (and need to get more), but I really like how it sits on the skin. Light and very natural. Not drying. I have always leaned more to bronzers for cheek color due to my freckles. This was the first blush I found that complimented my skin (and freckles) looking natural and soft. Looks even better when I where a full cover of face makeup...in fact, it's gorgeous! I get a lot of compliments on my makeup. The color I use looks a lot like the one in the photo. Definately would recommend and will reorder!
I LOVE the Jane Iredale product line, and have used this blush for years... but now can't seem to find my color -- "Flushed" Any recommendations as a replacement? I have medium/dark skin and use Latte pure pressed minerals, Iced Mocha Lip Gloss.
Love this blush! I apply it with the White Fan brush. I have a darker shade then some might probably recommend (Mocha) but the brush allows for a light application.
These blushes are amazing! Try mixing Cotton Candy Blush and Whisper Blush together. They create a beautiful peachy pink color that looks fantastic for spring and summer.
Did you discontinue Cinnamon? Is there a similar color?
what is a comparable color since I can not find Tawny on the list of available colors?????
I just received my order which included the blush in sheer honey and the fan brush! The Fan brush is totally worth the money. The brush allows you to use very little product and allows for excellent application. I think it is a must!!
I have fair skin with red undertones, blue eyes and blond hair and this color is fabulous. It is so natural looking and blend very well. My makeup routine includes dream tint tinted moisturizer in light, amber or warm silk purepressed powder depending on the time of the year, this blush and d20 hydration spray to blend along with various lip and eye products. (Love mystikol eyeliner in dark topaz) love just kissed lip stain. Love JI products.
Sheer Honey is a beautiful color. It looks very natural and will not bring out any ruddiness that you might have in you skin. It just gives a touch of natural healthy color. The PurePressed blushes last all day.
This blush has the perfect amount of pigment and coverage without looking ridiculous. I am a pale blonde with blue eyes and love to use the Sheer Honey as my Favorite Eye Shadow for that "natural" look. The Barely Rose is a fun and youthful blush color for me, I can look younger without looking like I'm wearing blush. My husband always says I look refreshed when i wear it. Thank you Jane for products that work, last, and give me peace of mind. Chemical free and loving it.
Jane Iredale makes such nice blusher. The light texture and great, natural colors are terrific. I especially like Copper Wind (which looks wonderful with my C.J. lipstick) and Mocha (which looks good with just about anything--even reds lipstick).
I have Jane's blush in Parfait, Cotton Candy and Barely Rose. They are the best blushes that I have ever used...and I have tried them all!! They don't look heavy or cakey when you apply them....they look like a natural flush of color. The pigment is awesome...they last a long time both on your face and in the pan. I have had mine for a long time and I haven't gotten to the bottom of the pan yet!! Please keep these colors around for all of us to enjoy....all 3 of them are gorgeous and I can't live without ANY of them!! Keep up the great work and thank you for making safe, gorgeous makeup for all of us makeup junkies out there!! :)
I have fair skin with blue eyes and I love the cotton candy color. I wasn't sure I would like it with the little sparkle flecks but I actaully love it....gives me a pretty glow. I have rosacea skin with red undertones and have been very happy with this color. Looking forward to trying another color too but I am not sure which one to pick:)
The Cotton Candy has a lovely, subtle sparkle to it. It does not take much product to get the color you need on fair skin - I fully expect this product to last me 8-12 months, which makes the price extremely reasonable!
First of all, I never purchase blush with any kind of shimmer to it (I'm in my 30s and the shimmer seems to settle into my wrinkles, making me look worse). Well, the subtle shimmer in these is AMAZING. They don't go on glittery and they make my skin look healthy and glowing, but naturally so. I have medium-light skin with a lot of redness in the cheeks and nose (I usually wear the pressed base powder in Amber, Radiant, or Warm Silk depending on the season). Pinks can make my skin look too red, but the Cotton Candy color is so sheer and pretty. I can add more in layers for a richer color effect or sweep it on for my day look. A little goes a long way as the colors are very pigmented. Perhaps this is why the Golden Apricot color is a bit too dark or orangey for me. I still love it, but I have to apply in one sweep and then take more pressed base powder to blend it in. A shade lighter would be easier to layer for my skin coloring. The best value, too... they last forever!
I absolutely love this blush. The Mocha shade is perfect for my medium light skin, and it doesn't break me out. I do have to reapply halfway through the day, but it always looks natural and blends beautifully! Best blush, I'll never use anything else.
Healthy, subtle, natural, pressed. Doesn't hurt my sensitive, acne-prone skin. Everything I've been looking for in a blush! I'll never use anything else!
lovely and soft thanks jane!
I am very leary of using blush, as it never looks natural, and it's hard to find a good color. I tend to use cheek tints, rather than powder blushes. I tried the Sheer Honey blush, over my golden glow powder, and I love it!!! Amazing, natural, and if you're not sure what color to use, this is very neutral! I love it!
I'm very pale. Had trouble finding a blush light enough to look natural on me.. :) Cotton Candy is amazing. Even has microscopic sparklies! Putting on my blush is now my favorite part of my make-up routine... Thanks, Momma Iredale!
This is the second PurePressed Blush I've purchased. The first was recommended by an aesthetician, and this one I chose online. It is darker than it looks onscreen. Since I chose it for spring-summer wear in Florida, I will be able to use it, but just keep that in mind when shopping from your computer screen!
This blush is silky and blends perfectly on the skin. The Barely Rose color is very soft and natural. LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!!
I usually tend to avoid brownish blushes, as they either turn orangey or look muddy on me, but I love the Cinnamon PurePressed blush! This only came in the mail yesterday, but I can see this being an item I reach for every day. It has lasted all day and still looks great. It is nice and neutral, will go with almost anything else I wear. It gives my face the perfect healthy glow without being shimmery at all. It has just enough pink in it to suit me. It seems like it will last a good long time too - a little bit was all it took.
sheer honey is the most beautiful blush i have ever owned. this blush, golden glow, amazing base and some eyeliner and i am all set. sheer honey also doubles as a gorgeous eyeshadow shade.
Aha! A blush that won't break me out! It lasts a long time and goes on well. It is just the right touch that doesn't make you look garrish. For very light skin and cool skin tones, I suggest Cotton Candy.
This color is the perfect blender for my pale complexion. I use it every day - either alone for a subtle blush or blended with a brighter tone. It is an absolute must have for pale skin!
I have a very pale complexion and look best in warm tones. This blush is the perfect everyday shade for my cheeks and has a nice subtle sparkle!
A really gorgeous color! I've tried other brands (aveda) for variety, but I keep coming back to this one. It's rich, multi-layered, and makes my skin glow. It also really pops in pictures, but doesn't look like "too much." It's both soft *and* bold. Love it!
the color of this blush is soft and subtle - gives a natural sunkissed look. I have a medium tan complexion but think it would work for just about anyone. Don't discontinue this color please - ever :)
