This concealer is great for covering scarring and acne. I've tried the Disappear Concealer with Green tea, but this one has much better coverage and much easier to apply, I think. I haven't tried the "zap" end yet, but the "hide" end is great! Recommend!
I gave this product four stars because it was great but minus 1 star due to it falling apart (see below). I enjoyed this product for 2 weeks before the blemish concealer fell out of the container and dropped down the sink. It was my fault for applying this over an open sink but it was a bit sad that it fell apart easily. Since the incident I've been using the balm end while applying a separate concealer. Still a great product just watch out when applying it.
I have switched most of my makeup to this brand after a recent visit to my dermatologist. I have to say that while I do enjoy the brand, this product has been my least favorite. There is limited colors in this so it was hard to find the right one for my tone. The Zap part of this was what I did not like, it would allow the Hide portion to wipe off easily. I was unable to return the product from the store I bought it so I only use the Hide side as a quick cover up in my purse for when I am out.
Because I do have some acne scars, I use this in place of my foundation. The color is perfect. My question is though, do you have this in a bigger size or is there something equivalent to the color of (Z1) that covers the same way?
The new blue zap and hide is too greasy for acne prone skin. I liked the older one in the gold casing better. I thought it was the same but seems to be a bit different.
I love all of my Jane Iredale products, but am disappointed with the Zap & Hide concealer. It didn't seem to have an effect on my blemishes, and did not provide any coverage- it's just too greasy in texture and not enough pigment. I hope the company creates a drier, better concealer for acne prone clients- I would buy it immediately.
My mom recommended this product to me-I as having a slew of blind pimples after a facial-this was AMAZING!
If I am a warm sienna what color should I get?
I ordered the Light concealer and it was still way too dark for my skin. There really needs to be a lighter version for pale people. I did like the texture and I think I would like it if it came in a lighter color and that's why I did give it 2 stars. If you are pale, do not order this concealer because it will be too dark.
I LOVE Jane Iredale products and have been using them for years. This product, however, is the only one I didn't continue using. In fact, I stopped using it after just a couple weeks. I found it hard to put on; it could get a bit clumpy and you could see that I was trying to cover up my spots.Furthermore, it didn't seem to speed up 'healing time' or make much of a difference. Maybe I will try the disappear instead?
I use the light (I use warm sienna foundation) and the concealer works great. It does hide best when I use the "Zap" side first.
This concealer is great. The zap side heals and moisturizes which helps so much. The hide side covers but I have fair skin and the light color is still a tad too dark. Overall I am on my 2nd one because its such a great product.
This concealer is the BEST that Jane Iredale has. I wear Jane Iredale's Golden Glow pressed powder too, and I have light/medium olive Asian skin. The medium ZapHide color is perfect. It covers my age spots on my cheeks, and redness on my chin and sides of my nose. *(I had tried the Circle Delete (in Light), and found it difficult to use: it had a tackiness/stickiness, and the colors did not blend into my skin at all. Also, it required me to use my fingers and an additional makeup brush which was messy). But, the ZapHide concealer in medium is PERFECT. It is incredibly EASY to apply (it is like a miniature lipstick). So you just swipe it over your blemishes/discoloration. It is creamy and glides on perfectly smoothly and covers up my imperfections. The pressed powder glides on effortlessly over the ZapHide concealer. And, ZapHide's scent is fantastic!
